Ask for Help
When it comes to moving, you do not win an award for doing it by yourself. There are no bragging rights to be won here. Instead, ask for help if you need it. Calling on your friends and family is key to reducing stress. That is literally what they are there for—to be a support for you in your time of need. Whether it be to help you physically pack and move your belongings or just to act as a listening ear, reaching out to your loved ones will be paramount in stress reduction.
Accept the Unexpected
There will be some hiccups along the road. Whether those hiccups occur during the planning stages of the move or during the relocation itself, you can expect that not everything will work out as you hoped. If it does all work out perfectly, then you will be pleasantly surprised. If it doesn’t, then you will have a contingency plan in place.
